Mykonos is known as the ‘gay island’. I’d say it’s rather an island of ‘anything goes’. Whether your looking for crystal clear ocean, white sand beaches, or just your good old fashioned pool parties, then you’ve come to the right spot.

While we were in Mykonos we stayed at the Paradise Beach Resort. If you want for 5 star luxury rooms, you have the wrong place. But 5 star beaches, bars, drinks and people, then you have the perfect place!
The rooms are small – each has a sink with 2 hospital-sized beds. But that shouldn’t worry you in the least, because the last thing you will be doing is spending time in your room.

The beach is gorgeous! Half is a nude beach – and don’t get too excited (nude usually means OLD nude sun-bathers) and the other half is your typical (topless) European beach. But besides the nakedness, there are small cliffs to check out and go for easy hikes right next to the beach. Or the soft sand and free-to-use beach chairs are there for sunbathing if you want to take it easy and have a waitress serve you drinks as you get a tan. The water is warm and no rocks. You have to watch out for a little bit of seaweed, and if your okay with the squishy feeling, you can stand on the hard seaweed halfway out and look as though you are standing on the water.

Now for the bars:
Open all day, both on the beach – no more than 30 ft away from the ocean. One of the bars has long colorful couches for you to lounge out on all day / night – and the other is more of a party bar. Tables all around for dancing, booths on the beach, the local who only wears a sarong ((don’t ask him what’s under there – he’s not afraid to show you)) and they even have a POOL in the bar… GREAT IDEA. When you get too hot you can just jump in the pool, even though the ocean is only steps away.

This place is great to stay for anyone who’s looking for a good time! I mostly saw backpackers there, but a lot of locals come to the beautiful beaches.

The name says it all at Paradise Beach Resort!
