Railay Thailand

Railay – We just spent a week in Railay, Thailand and it was amazing! The beaches there are some of the nicest beaches I’ve ever seen, and there is so much to do. The first day we all went into a cave and climbed up all of these bamboo ladders and ended up at an amazing viewpoint to the other beach. (I will add a picture). After the cave a few of us swam over to a cliff and climbed up and jumped off about 8 meters high, it was so scary once you get to the top and finally jumped. The next day we all went on an amazing 4-hour kayaking trip. It wasn’t at all what I expected, we had to drive for a half hour to another area and it was well worth the drive. We kayaked through all these mangroves. Then it opened up to a huge lagoon and a beautiful beach. We parked the kayaks on the beach and then lined 3 kayaks up and played a game to see who could run across all three kayaks the fastest, it was really entertaining. After that we kayaked over to a cave. To finish the day off we all raced our kayaks back to the pier. That night we watched a live band and a fire show, it was really entertaining.

The next day we spent on the beach relaxing, swimming and cliff jumping. Then for the sun set we climbed up to another beautiful viewpoint. In the evening we went to a bar for a free bbq then most people went home to watch movies and get lots of sleep for our early morning rock climb and which was another awesome day, everyone did so great, everyone that tried the 30 meter climb made it to the top, and the last 5 meters all there is to grab on to is 2 fingers with one hand and tiny little rocks that you can barley hold up on your big toe. It was an amazing time we spent in Railay and I will miss it until I got back again.
